Fandom really pulled together and spammed the crap out of Twitter just as it was about to turn into the 18th
For those who don't follow, uwasako came up with Operation #deadfisheyes, which was to make Yamapi's release of his "Loveless" single a trending topic on Twitter :D
*Note the flikr image associated with this trend is an actual dead fish XD

As you can see, it couldn't beat "New Moon," but it was still a phenomenal feat!
Honestly, it might be trivial to some people, but this just shows how powerful fandom really is. We managed to gather people from all across the world, maneuvering through timezones to make this work, and it was a success!
Fandom may have its ups and downs, but when it comes down to it, we're just really dedicated people. Great job, everyone!

Just saw that the lovely Ran uploaded the LQ version of "My Girl" and can't believe that the "Fall" season is actually starting already! :D
Ohgosh, I'm going to be so busy, but that'll give the episodes time to pile up (hopefully) so I can marathon a little ^^

So, with this past drama season in mind, there were some pretty great ones like "Buzzer Beat," "Orthros no Inu," and "Koishite Akuma." I started off with a couple, but it dwindled down to these three:)

Anyways, I finally got to finishing OnI and let me just say that, despite it not turning out to be as epic as I'd originally hoped, I'm extremely delighted and in awe of the ending. It's just so beautifully done, right down to the cinematography:D
I know some bits of it were overly dramatic or wanting to give that 'happy-ending' feeling, but I honestly left that drama feeling happy, hopeful, and in love with this story:)"

The end of Spring brings new levels of excitement. I still haven’t figured out what to do about the newfound crush in the cubicle next to me. I’m not used to being the one who gives the chocolates away.

Homemade chocolates are better than the store-bought. Always the receiver’s heart that fabricates the illusion of sugary (sometimes chalky) goodness of the wrapped candies. The gift box, later abandoned in the trash, left some still unwrapped.

Summertime unburies yukatas from the bottom of the dresser. The creased folds hold the essence of forgotten summers ago. I bought chocolates during the festival, tasting what mine had lacked.

It is hard to say when I knew to add a touch of sincerity to every cup of cocoa. Walking in to work with Winter’s first snow at my heels, I gave my chocolates away.
The wrappers fell to the floor as he smiled.

Author's Note: My first 'prose' style poem, and I think I'm pretty happy with how it came out (after revisions, of course). I was still pretty new into the Japanese culture, so it was fresh on my mind as topics:) I think I was picturing "Stand Up!" for some of this too ^^

Kato is the flight captain for the next International Space Station mission and there’s a new CAPCOM in town. Kato is curious, but hardly gets the chance to meet this Nishikido guy. Despite never truly having a real conversation with each other, there is a connection, and perhaps that is the only thing that will matter.

I'd like to introduce a game to you called "Werewolf." Europeans might know this game as "Mafia," but there are really lots of versions. The basic concept is shown in the video below. I actually discovered this game during the wee hours of the night at the lower levels of the Hyatt at Dragon*con 2009, and I played till the early hours of the morning. It has made this year extra eventful, and I know I want to go back just to play a 21-person game :D
I'll be referring back to this when I get around to making my final convention post involving pictures of the gang/lovely-drunken people we played with ^^

So you guys must have heard LJ's 'announcement' that some 'malicious' embedding code was going around and altering some of our journal settings, but the LJ peeps have stopped it, and are now trying to re-enable more media embedding stuffz. The embedding code took peoples' emails, but nothing 'private,' so hopefully that is true.
Unfortunately, I noticed it on my sticky post the other day, which means my journal has been 'infected' XD
I hope yours haven't been, but in any case, we're all in this together ;)

Sometimes, I just wanna hug Ryo and beg him to take care of himself and to please eat a sandwhich :P
I know he's just some random celebrity that I'll never meet and will never know that I worry for him, but I do worry for him and view all his fellow friends and coworkers as important and precious people, so...yea ♥

For some reason, his Kansai-ben really soothes me...is that weird? Actually, even when I hear Yoko or Koichi break out in random kansai-ben and their unique intonation, I just smile and feel really happy ^^

Travelers by lockability
This is a crossover fanfic of NEWS/Firefly and I was first introduced to this by shifty_gardener and it’s short, but AWESOME ♥
Such a brilliant universe, plus it made me really love River and Ryo even more ^^
SO! Even if you don’t read this lovely fic, take this from my post:

"Would you please stop following me around?" Ryo explodes at last, after almost crashing into River rounding a corner.

"Even if you keep your smile inside, people are going to find it," River says, then spins on her heel, dress twirling around her, and walks away.

They both smile, but River pretends to only know that she does.

Is it not just breath-taking? There is just something about this scene that I adore :)

I haven’t read this in SO long, but I remember it. I’ve always loved when the leads of a show forget their memories and live a separate existence being able to finally fall in love with each other. This fanfiction does not only that, but brings back one of the best AU’s that we see in SG-1: Thera and Jonah from “Beneath the Surface.” Lots of ♥ for this :D

You would think seeing the trips of SG-1 (or at least just the men) through a barista’s eyes would be interesting, but it is, and it’s riveting! It also gives us a chance to fall in love with Daniel all over again:D
